BCM Rolls Out OFX530 Series, A Modular Designed Mini-ITX Open Frame Panel Computer

BCM introduces a Mini-ITX Modular Open Frame Panel Computer, the OFX530 series. The OFX530 is an Open Frame Panel Computer equipped with a 15" color TFT display, and accommodates a variety of Mini-ITX system options, ranging from the IntelAR Corea?¢F2 Duo to the CeleronAR M 600 MHz processor. The OFX530 unit makes it easier and faster to do custom system development with flexible Mini-ITX board choices, multiple displays & audio streams, powered COM ports and one built-in power supply.
Rich Multimedia & I/O
BCM currently offers four versions of the OFX530 Open Frame Panel Computer which incorporate an IntelAR 945GME, 915GME, 910GMLE or 852GM mini-ITX motherboard. All versions of the OFX530 support both LVDS and DVI dual view displays, 5.1-CH audio with an additional 5 Watt audio amplifier, and one fast Gigabit Ethernet controller with an RJ-45 LAN port. Two powered serial ports are able to support external low-power devices with 5V/12V output. One CompactFlash slot takes any type I/II media card for memory or storage requirements. The ready-for-market OFX530 share a common ATX I/O shield, and provide customers the perfect platforms for digital signage, KIOSK, POS and other multimedia demanding applications.
Flexible Configuration
Based on modular design, the OFX530 series accepts most Mini-ITX motherboards with custom I/O shielding available upon request. The system has a robust stainless housing for use in harsh environments, one internal hard drive bay for 2.5" IDE HDD storage, and one built-in 200 Watt power supply which reduces complex wiring. With these features; widely scalable system options, simplified cabling, and superior reliability, the OFX530 is a reliable solution with a faster time-to-market.
